Nanao Pottery X Akitsu Coffee Cup - Circle

JPY 3,960

These cups are made in collaboration with Nanao Pottery, with the forms and designs created by Akitsu. Designed to be simple, tactile and quietly distinctive, each cup brings together the considered qualities of contemporary design with the warmth and irregularity of handmade Japanese ceramics.

The cups are made individually by hand in Kinomoto, Shiga Pref. Meaning that no two are exactly alike. Subtle variations in shape, glaze, texture and colour are part of the character of each piece.

At Akitsu, we are interested in the everyday objects that become part of our rituals and memories. A cup is something you reach for every morning, hold in your hands, and eventually associate with a particular place or moment.

With four unique designs to choose from, select your favourite piece or mix and match to create an eclectic set. Inspired by the Japanese tradition of bringing together irregular, individual pieces, each cup is designed to complement the others without needing to match.
